Electrostatic Field Meter
The model PS-SCM-02 static charge meter is a lightweight, precision electrostatic charge meter that features stabilized
sensor for accurate measurement in both normal and ionized environments. Liquid crystal display is provided. The maximum measurement range is from 0 to 10 KV at
meter to object distance of one inch. A 2-1/2-digit LCD meter provides 100-VOLT resolution with polarity indication.
How to use the electrostatic field meter tester:

Turn the ON–OFF switch to ON
Position. While pressing and holding the "PRESS TO READ" button on the field meter, point the sensor at the object to be measured and bring the instrument
towards the measured object. At a ONE inch distance from the object, the LCD should display a reading between ZERO to +/-10.0 KV. For example, a reading of 8.5 at one
inch distance equals 8.5KV electrostatic voltage.

However, IF the meter reading displays at maximum (10KV), then release the "PRESS TO READ" button and back the
meter away from the object and repeat step 1 until the meter is TWO inches from the object. For example, at TWO inches from the object, a meter reading of 8.5KV equals
an electrostatic voltage of 17KV (or double the meter reading).

However, IF the meter reading is still at maximum (10KV), then release the "PRESS TO READ" button and back the
meter away from the object and repeat step 1 until the meter is THREE inches from the object. For example, at THREE inches from the object, a meter reading of 8.5 equals
an electrostatic voltage of 25.5KV (or triple the meter reading).

Repeat this process in one inch increments from the measured object until you achieve a meter reading of less than 10KV, then
multiply the meter reading by the number of inches from the measured object to determine the actual electrostatic field voltage.
