Anti-Static Wrist Straps

Static sensitive components can be damaged by being handled if the operator is not properly grounded. These anti-static wrist straps will help you do your job right. The use of anti-static wrist straps while working on static sensitive electronic devices and systems is a very important part of ESD protection measures.

The AWS1 elastic woven strap is knitted with a highly conductive yarn. The fabric is highly elastic, yet still adjustable via a locking buckle that makes it fully sizeable through the complete length of the strap. It can be tightened or loosened as needed. This is the anti-static wrist strap that comfortably fits virtually any wrist size.

The buckle material is made of POM, a highly machineable and stable plastic material with a history of use in surgical implants. The stainless steel back plate ensures excellent conductance to the skin on the wrist with a very low chance of allergic reaction, and longevity of wrist strap service.

AWS1 anti-static wrist strap has a 7mm male snap stud to fit most common ground cords. A ground cord with a matching 7mm female snap is required for this wrist strap to function.
Static-ESD carries two ground cord lengths (6 foot or 10 foot) to fit this wrist strap. Please see and select one of our compatible wrist strap ground cords to choose the length you desire.

To be sure your ESD wrist straps are always functioning properly, we suggest using one of our anti-static wrist strap testers or monitors .

For work areas equipped with anti-static conductive floor tile, consider using anti-static heel straps for cordless freedom of movement.
