Static electricity is an enemy of sensitive electronic circuits and the people who work on them. Anti-static table mats are used as a static safe work surface on tables and bench tops to prevent the build-up of harmful static electricity in an electronics assembly or repair environment. Made of conductive and dissipative layers, anti-static table mats are connected to earth ground through a wire cord to provide a safe and controlled path to ground for static charges.
